Let’s all play pretend, and say we can’t see

how this deadly game of make-believe

is filling our heads with anxiety

and downing our minds in lies and deceit

We’ve eaten the apple and believed Satan's lie

that our sins are better left hidden inside

and if they should ever gain a glimpse of the sky

They would surely swallow us in one single bite

But the Truth is that darkness could never survive

If ever we opened our hearts and our minds

and dragged all the junk out into the light

It would all burn away, and surprised we would find

that our hearts can be clean

and the truth sets us free
