A Man Is Saved
A name is called out from the light.
A man responds in darkest night.
He stops and turns and begins to see
his life had never been alright.
The dark infected all that he
had hoped his life would someday be.
Not only was he in the dark
he was walking deeper continually.
He wondered how he was not too far
for light’s sweet call to reach his heart.
Still and small it called his name
and he had now been set apart.
Wonder of wonders, he felt no shame!
Even though he was to blame.
Pulled at last from that darkest grave.
His life was redeemed; he had been saved!
