The Hero

In the story I see

The hero, I must be

For no one is in every scene

But me.

Destined to succeed

And stand, triumphantly

over my enemies

it’s all about me.

they surely agree.

But..

Then I see you

And know I’m a fool

For thinking my truth

Could make the sun move

It’s all about you

You’re in control

You hold up the world

And restore my soul.
